Iroko, is sometimes referred to as African Teak although Afrormosia more closely resembles Teak. It is a dark reddish-brown hardwood sourced from West Africa. Though unrelated to true teak, it offers similar stability albeit less, weather resistance, and appearance at a lower cost. Used primarily in the U.S. for outdoor furniture and boat building it is also used in flooring, and architectural millwork, Iroko is valued for affordability and beauty. |
